What vacation isn’t complete without a broken down vehicle, $135 tow bill, $1200 repair bill, being stranded for 4 days, hitching rides to the grocery store to get your son a birthday cake, and a stingray barb in the finger….welcome to our week.

Things really did get better….the tow truck took us to a Chevy dealership, all of the rental car places were closed or too far to deliver a car to us. The dealership manager drove us and ALL of our luggage to our condo, then he took Steve to get a few items at the grocery store. He was a lifesaver! The next day was Nolan’s birthday. Steve stood on our front balcony looking for his victim….he found a man that needed help with a cooler and traded his muscles for a ride to the store to get a cake for Nolan’s birthday. By Tuesday the dealership brought a car to us. Finally we were mobile! Wednesday we took the kids on a dolphin cruise. Then back to the dealership to pay our boat load of money. By Thursday it was time to say goodbye to Chad. My nephew had stayed with us for several days…he endured the hour being stranded on the side of the road in 100 degree temps.! We took off to Murrells Inlet and then to Andy Owen’s Music Center. Cody meet Phillip Watson, lead guitarist for The Drifters. We were honored to hear him play for us. Cody FINALLY found the guitar he has always wanted and purchased it…..now I have listened to him playing for hours and hours and hours……….

This was a second before Nolan went under!

Heat lightening….

Logan pulled another tooth…..
Cody and Chad shrimping- they caught over a dozen fresh shrimp!

This would be the barb that got Steve’s finger….
We took a dolphin cruise aboard the Hurricane Fleet.
